a. Information need to be secured because information is one of the asset of organization or company that very important. Information is used as the consideration to make a planning, to make a policy and to decide something. Our company could be a successful  company because the management could manage and secure the information.  If we could not secure the information, we will be in the troubles. Because many bad impacts will come to us, for example the bad impact from the competitors, from our employee and so on. In here the author would like to give a study case about the importance of information security.

Study Case :

We have all information about our strategy of company, from planning, organizing, coordinating, staffing until controlling and evaluating. But because we could not secure these information, our competitors know about our strategies. In the end they apply the same strategies like ours, and make our costumers move to their company. And of course it could cause the lost for our company.

b. If the information is not safe, accurate and relevant, the managers must not use that information. Because if that kind of information be used by them. They will make wrong planning, policy and deciding. And we will be very difficult to get the aim of our company. Because of that we must use the correct, accurate and relevant information.

c. The process to safe the information.

- Identify the treat.

Here, means that we must try to find what kind of treat that will attack our information. By doing so we could do the anticipation. And anticipation is better than solving the problem. Because if we must solve the problem, it is not effective from the financial, power, and time. For example, the treat of virus in computer. By knowing that there will be a virus in computer, we could put the anti virus for the computer protection.

- Knowing the risk.

Here, we must know the risk that we will face from the treat, because by doing so we will be more careful. The example of the risk is loosing the data because of the virus. If we know about that may be we can save the data in another data base. So if we lost the data we could find in another file.

- Implement the policy of the information security

Here, what should we do is making the procedure or the SOP of the job to make the information be safe. And also we need to put the competent person to place in that position.

- Controlling

Controlling activity is very important to make the managers up to date with the current news, especially with the information. So in here, they must control whether the information flow in the safe condition or not. If this is in unsafe condition, they must make fast action to chance the procedures.
